Our refuges provide safe, specialist accommodation and 24/7 trauma-informed support for survivors of domestic abuse who are unable to remain in their homes.

We support women, men, trans and non-binary people, as well as families and individuals with complex needs — including mental health challenges, substance misuse, disabilities and those with pets.

A Flexible, Needs-Led Service

We offer a range of accessible accommodation alongside wraparound support, including:

  • Safety planning
  • Therapeutic and group work
  • Support for children and young people
  • Wellbeing and recovery-focused activities
  • Partnership working across housing, health and specialist services

 

Our trained volunteers enhance this support, offering practical help and compassionate, day-to-day connection.

Expanding to Meet Need

We continuously grow our services to meet increasing and more complex demand.

 

This includes:

  • A Multiple Compound Needs (MCN) Refuge and Community Service with 24/7 support
  • Single sex provision for women (with children)
  • An all gender-inclusive refuge prioritising male and trans survivors
  • Pet-friendly provision
  • Wheelchair accessible and adapted accommodation
  • Self-contained and all gender-inclusive flats

Our refuges provide more than a place to stay — they support recovery and independence.

 

We also offer structured programmes such as the Freedom Programme, group therapy and dedicated support for children and young people.

We are committed to reaching those most in need, including:

  • People with no recourse to public funds
  • Trans survivors, through strengthened specialist partnerships
  • Male survivors
  • People experiencing homelessness or multiple disadvantage

 

Our flexible model ensures support is tailored, responsive and able to adapt as needs change.
